Today we want to show you another aspect of El Colmado. Because behind every dish, or the kitchen, there is always a person. It is undeniable that the dream of making El Colmado the best Spanish Restaurant in Berlin<\/strong><\/a> was always in our mind.<\/p>\n

The idea of \u200b\u200bbringing Spanish cuisine to the German city looked charming and a challenge we wanted to achieve. Thus, we have managed to make Tapas fashionable in the pure heart of Berlin and prove that the taste in mouth can be multiplied with a few bites of different products. In the same way, we have left foodies open-mouthed with the knife cut, by a professional, of the star product of Spanish cuisine, the Serrano ham. Likewise, not only we offer the star product, but also show the quality of many others such as Tortilla de Patata (potato omelette), Croquetas or the Galician empanada. But taking off El Colmado was not only intended to fill the stomach and seduce mouths based on Spanish gastronomic culture. As we said at the beginning, behind every gesture and food there is a person. And there is something we are very aware: people who do not have a plate of food at hand.<\/p>\n

From our hearts we always had in mind that the food we offer must make more sense than just feed a person. That intention is born and makes sense if we consider certain statistics such as that every 5 seconds hunger takes the life of a child under 10 years, 25,000 people die of starvation every day and 9 million do it per year. So we decided to join the NGO Mary\u2019s Meals<\/strong><\/a>, whose goal and dream we share: that all children receive a daily meal in their respective educational centers. Thus, for every Tapa or meal that you eat in our restaurant, we manage to feed 5 hungry children, with the invaluable collaboration of the NGO Mary\u2019s Meals<\/strong>. The world is so unfair that there are children who do not have access to something as basic as food, while in many countries, a large amount of food is thrown away every day. We want to offer you a dish so that you can hold our hand and come with us to change the world. A meal for a meal, that simple. Our time, hope and heart have been turned over so that from Berlin we can help thousands of children stop starving in the world. Our only goal is to make it reality.<\/p>\n
